The Bioelba campground, with only 8 campsites scattered
among 33,000 mt. sq. of pine forest, is found in
the Ferrato zone, right on the beach surrounded
by the Archipelago Toscana National Park.
Immediately south
of the Ferrato beachfront campground, begins the
vast territory of the "Costa dei Gabbiani" ( coast
of the seagulls ) with numerous small bays reachable
by foot path or boat.
A stretch of a
13 km. coastal road closed to vehicle traffic is
an excellent course for lovers of mountain biking.
For those who prefer hiking, there are numerous
walking paths leading off the coastal road and around
the Monte Calamita. A short distance from the campground,
at the Ginepro beach, there is access to free climbing
pegs.
Also, this stretch
of the Marine National Park offers the best for
lovers of snorkeling. The area is considered one
of the most beautiful and is rich in native flowers
and fauna.
At the campground
there is an area with games for children, a B.B.Q.,
refrigerators, indoor/outdoor showers heated by
solar panels.
Upon request the
management will prepare a B.B.Q. offering a menu
using the seasonal products of the agriturismo.
